This independent study, conducted by the University of L’Aquila and the Regional Hospital “San Salvatore” in Italy, evaluates the analytical performance of BIOLABO’s immunoturbidimetric method for HbA1c determination using the KENZA 450 TX analyser.

Strong correlation with the gold-standard HPLC method (slope = 1.00, ρc > 0.97)
Excellent precision (CV < 2.5%) and minimal bias across clinical decision thresholds
Clinically acceptable performance for both NGSP (%) and IFCC (mmol/mol) units

Cost-effective and easy to implement, especially in resource-limited settings
