New Publication: BIOLABO HbA1c Method Validated in Peer-Reviewed Study

We are proud to announce the publication of a new scientific article in the journal Diagnostics, titled:
Evaluation of the BIOLABO Turbidimetric Assay for Automated Determination of Haemoglobin A1c

This independent study, conducted by the University of L’Aquila and the Regional Hospital “San Salvatore” in Italy, evaluates the analytical performance of BIOLABO’s immunoturbidimetric method for HbA1c determination using the KENZA 450 TX analyser.
Key Findings:
Strong correlation with the gold-standard HPLC method (slope = 1.00, ρc > 0.97)
Excellent precision (CV < 2.5%) and minimal bias across clinical decision thresholds
Clinically acceptable performance for both NGSP (%) and IFCC (mmol/mol) units
Low risk of diagnostic misinterpretation, even near critical thresholds
Cost-effective and easy to implement, especially in resource-limited settings
The study confirms that the BIOLABO immunoturbidimetric method is a reliable, efficient, and affordable alternative to HPLC for routine HbA1c testing—making it an ideal solution for laboratories seeking high-quality diabetes monitoring without the complexity of chromatography.

- UPBM Congress 2024
The UPBM association, created in 1972, organizes its congress each year which constitutes a convivial moment of meeting between French Biotechnology teachers and manufacturers in the sector.
For the second consecutive year, BIOLABO will be present at this event, which will be held at the Lycée Les Lombards in Troyes from October 18 to 20, 2024.
